SMALL COSTOLATO VASE

Delicate soffiato vase in amethyst-colored glass, blown in Murano in the early 1930s.
The bell-shaped form is executed in exceptionally light glass, with a subtle costolato (ribbed) effect running across the surface—typical of refined Venetian design from the interwar period.

A small imperfection near the base, formed during execution, does not detract from the piece’s elegance or historical significance.
Minor traces of ash are also present in the glass, confirming its production predates the widespread adoption of gas-fueled furnaces (post-WWII).
