“Hero Shark”, 2019 is a one-of-a-kind bas-relief shark on an electric green background.
The teeth are made of hand-painted papier-mâché and then painted in yellow; a button was used for the eye.
The Artist painted on the body of the shark some of the most well’known heroes of comics such as Hulk, Popeye, Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman together with the iconic logos of Captain America and Batman.
Cecotto then covered the surface of the shark with a special resin normally used to protect the boats’ wooden elements, a technique that provides a wonderful shining effect capable to enhance colors and contours.
Thin frame in the very same color of the shark’s body.
