“Deep Purple Shark”, 2020 is a one-of-a-kind bas-relief shark on a purple background.
The teeth are made of hand-painted papier-mâché and then painted in orange fluo as per a button that was used for the eye. Same color for the frame.
The Artist decorated the body of the shark with some golden dots.
Cecotto then covered the surface of the shark with a special resin normally used to protect the boats’ wooden elements, a technique that provides a wonderful shining effect capable to enhance colors and contours.
